Last week, during a workshop with Limitless Innovation at a client’s headquarters, I faced a familiar challenge: keeping track of speaking times without breaking the flow.

Waving my arms to signal speakers to wrap up wasn’t exactly the professional vibe I was aiming for.
So, before the session kicked off, I scoured the web for a countdown timer that could manage multiple speakers and sessions. I found a few options, but they were either too basic, locked behind a paywall, or simply didn’t work as expected.
Plan B? I relied on Google’s stopwatch, mirroring my laptop screen to the iPad. It was functional but not the best solution.

Then a question popped up → What if I built exactly what I needed?
I opened ChatGPT and drafted a prompt for a no-code tool builder, outlining the key features for my custom time tracker:
- A countdown timer for each session
- A visual alert that flashes green 60 seconds before time is up
- A red highlight once the timer hits zero, signaling overtime
- A display showing the next speaker and session title
- The option to upload a CSV file for quick setup
After refining the prompt, I passed it to Lovable.
In minutes, I had a working prototype that was tailored to my exact specifications.

I went further and added focus mode and dark mode to keep things sleek and user-friendly.
The best part? It cost me nothing. I didn’t even need to upgrade Lovable’s plan. There’s still a minor bug to iron out, but overall the tool is solid and ready to go.
Curious to see how it works? Here’s the link to try it for yourself.
Let me know if it keeps your next event running on time.
